Are you a Skateboarder? If not, then I don't know how this is going to have anything to do with you, but please take the time to listen to what I have to say.
For starters, my hometown is holding a vote to see how many of us want a skatepark in Nelson, BC, Canada. You see, the only skatepark Nelson has is an indoor one, which is only open certain days of the week, and never really open at night time unless there is some kind of event. And even then, people bring their little kids who just want to crawl all over the place putting them at risk of getting hurt. Not to mention, I have been inside there, and boy... its not really all that exciting.
In addition to this, there are two outdoor skate parks, one is an hour long drive, and the other is a 30 minute drive. Who wants to get their parents to drive them to a park only to have a half hour of fun before the mom/dad/guardian wants to leave? Added, there's the rising cost of Gas prices out here in BC.
Sooooo all I really need is some votes ^_^ You can vote 10 times (once a day) and be done with it
The downside is, we need at least 1000 for them to even notice us. I am a little unsure as to how much votes we have now (I haven't checked) but from the Founder of this idea, he said at the time of his words, there was only 84 standing votes.
Please, all I ask is for 5 minutes of your time! It could actually make someone happy

Alright, so I will play it honest here. There's a Dubstep party in a few days that I'm fuckin' DYING to go to! Dying. It's a 12$ entrance fee. How much do I have on me? Not a heck of a lot. And being a student, I don't really have much in my pockets to start off with, haha.
